Anyone know how to wash caulk and oil out of clothes?

Oil: Apply a grease-cutting dish detergent (i.e.: Dawn) to the oil stain and rub vigorously. Allow to sit for a couple of hours then wash in HOT water. Check stain BEFORE putting clothes in dryer (if you put in dryer and the stain is not completely removed, the stain may set in and you will not be able to remove it). If the stain remains after washing, repeat process. Keep in mind that some oil stains are near impossible to remove depending on type and amount of oil. Cooking oil is easier to remove than motor oil, which can stain as well.

Caulk: Remove as much as possible and wash ASAP! Once caulk dries, you can kiss your clothes goodbye. If it has dried, try to peel as much off as possible (but note that it may leave a mark behind as the fibers have absorbed some of the caulk). You may also try to apply ice to the area and ';break off'; pieces, but caulk is quite durable. Good luck!Anyone know how to wash caulk and oil out of clothes?
Start by letting the caulk dry and then picking off as much as you can. Spray brake degrease on the oil and then wipe it off with a clean cloth. After that, fill a sink with hot water, cover the cloths in lanolin (I think that's the name. It's a white jelly product available at automotive stores), put them into the water and scrub vigorously on a washboard and with a hard bristle brush. If you have a death wish, use the cloths washer but your spouse or laundromat owner will beat you to death with a mop if you do. It might be faster to just go shopping for new cloths.Anyone know how to wash caulk and oil out of clothes?
all my clothes have caulk and paint, it softens over time but never comes out/off.

  • Has anyone tried the bodyshop tea tree oil facial wash?

Anyone tried it? Coz I have really bad skin and I want to know if it is worth buying...Has anyone tried the bodyshop tea tree oil facial wash?
yes, I have gotten it. It was really foamy and had a lot of bubbles. I used some water and put it on my face. It totally dried up. My skin wasn't really irritated, because I put some oisturizer on quickly. Also: my zits really aren't/weren't that bad, and it didn't do much. However, I recommend the moisturizer, toner, mask, and wiping sheets:

    moisturizer

Really good, because it doesn't dry out your skin and you can just twist the top, and squeeze a bit out and a little dab is all you need.

    toner

Put a bit on a cotton ball or Q-Tip and dab, dab, dab! Works great. Won't dry skin out if you put it on by itself. Won't really fry skin at all, actually, now that I think about it.

    Mask

Yes! This is great (I'm wearing it right now)! Really cleanses and refreshes. Perfect! Smells really tingly and cool, and nice and fresh, too.

    Wiping Sheets

Great for on the go, in the morning when you've slept late, etc.

I don't have acne on my body (ie. back, tush, etc.) but if I did, these would be perfect.

Overall: The tea tree oil stuff is good for oil, but be sure to moisturize, too. Otherwise, it may dry skin, leaving more problems. This stuff can be a bit pricey, though (in my opinion), so you don't HAVE to get it. Neutrogena, Noxzema, Clearasil, and other cheaper, more generic brands may work just as fine.

I liked the other stuff in the collection, but didn't enjoy the face wash very much. I recommend Neutrogena Visibly Even Foaming Face Cleanser for that step. I've never tried just regular tea tree oil alone, without any added ingredients, though. I can't give you feedback on that one.

I also wouldn't get the face wash if I were you. The other stuff is just fine-if not, great.Has anyone tried the bodyshop tea tree oil facial wash?
that seriously was the best answer! the facewash is awful.. Report Abuse

I actually have! I bought the face wash, the tea tree oil concentrate, and the mask. It's not worth buying... and actually makes your skin more oily. Honestly, it's not worth it. I would totally give you mine, but that's obviously not possible. Good luck with your skin issue! :)
It is worth its weight in gold.

I have the whole kit. Which includes the toner and the quick zap stick.

    Works well.
it worked at first and i thought my skin was clearing up, but then it started to make it drier, and more irritated, which in turn caused my skin to become worse.
I haven't tried it personally, but tea tree oil can dry out the skin. If you're oily, it may make it worse and it may irritate you, but everyone is different. If i were you, I'd goto the bodyshop and ask if they can give you a sample to try at home, if they can't ask them what their return policy is in case you need to return it. You could also check out makeupalley.com where you can trade for one. Hope this helps! :)

It's good actually though acne washes tend to be drying.

Okay has anyone used Tea Tree Oil soap to wash up with and or shave with or both... how'd is work out?

I use it to soothe my acne, and it does work somewhat. I saw on the news a couple years ago that men and boys should not use tea tree products, because it causes increased production of female hormones. On this news story a couple of boys were growing boobs, and it was found that tea tree in their shampoo was the cause!Okay has anyone used Tea Tree Oil soap to wash up with and or shave with or both... how'd is work out?
The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'Okay has anyone used Tea Tree Oil soap to wash up with and or shave with or both... how'd is work out?
I used a tea tree oil shampoo to help with dandruff once. It worked wonders for the dandruff but dried the rest of my hair out and was too expensive to keep up with it.

Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?

    WHICH ONE???

Do they dry your skin out?

    Do they work?

Do they make you break out(sensitive skin)?Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?
I WOULD USE BOTH..TO GET YOUR SKIN CLEAR ALWAYS EXFOLIATE MAYBE EVERY OTHER DAY AND WASH WITH A ACNE WASH..NEUTROGENA WORKS WELL. I JUST STARTED USING THE ACNE STRESS CONTROL AND IT WORKS WONDERS. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT IT STARTED CLEARING UP MY PIMPLES RIGHT AWAY...THE NICE THING ABOUT THE ACNES STRESS IS THAT IT'S 3 IN 1..IT HEALS PIMPLES, PREVENTS NEW ONES AND MOSTURIZES..THAT'S MY 2 CENTS!Neutrogena oil free acne wash or Neutrogena oil free acne stress control?
I use the stress control. It works VERY well. I have sensitive skin, and it doesn't make me break otu at all. It doesn't dry out my skin either. I used acne wash too, but it's a little strong for my face. Unless you have severe acne I wouldn't use that.
Yes I use the oil free acne wash and it really keeps the pimples away!

but for sensitive skin i think that you would need to try somthing else.

Oil free acne wash neutrogena cream or foam cleanser?

i just bought the cream because it came with 6.7 oz and was the same price. is their really any huge noticable difference?Oil free acne wash neutrogena cream or foam cleanser?
no I've tried both and their really isn't a difference between the cream and the foamOil free acne wash neutrogena cream or foam cleanser?
I don't use that brand, but I usually prefer foam cleansers because they tend to be less harsh. I usually Clinique Acne Solutions and it works quite well.
    neutrogena is better!
i have tried both the cream and the cleanser and there is not much a difference between the two. personally i preferred the foam when i used it. however, i use the valence detox slimming anti-aging purification set now
the foam is easier to waash off, so when you are in a hurry you wont have left overs
Honestly, neither. If you're looking for a way to get rid of acne I say use Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is one of the fastest methods to get rid of acne. It dries up the pimples in a matter of hours. If you want you can mix Witch Hazel w/ tea tree, it's been found to be very effective.
i use the lancome brand. it works great
i love the foam! it gets everything off with just a half of pump

can i pressure wash the rockers then flip the engine over then pressure wash the rotating assembly? the spray fresh oil on everything put it back together and run itI have a chevy engine i pullead the intake manifold to find charcoal chunksof burnt oil can i pressure wash?
don,t use water. what i do in a case like that is i take a coffee can and fill it with kerosene and use a brush to clean it. you have to change the oil and filter anyway.I have a chevy engine i pullead the intake manifold to find charcoal chunksof burnt oil can i pressure wash?
Just leave it dude....I know it looks terrible but you'll do more damage clogging your oil sump with loose debris from the spraying than by leaving it alone. I've done alot of motor jobs on these chevs and they ';always'; look like this in the lifter valley. My last one was a well looked after 98 5.7L vortec engine that I had to take the intake off of to put it in a van. It was caked with carbon build-up so bad you'd think the motor was shot but I knew it had regular maintenence all it's life. If you have a wet/dry shop vac I would recommend using that over anything else.

I am 14 and don't have acne but my skin is never clear. I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash once a day and my skin gets so dry, and it looks really bad because it looks like I got sunburn and my skin is pealing. What can I use instead or to moisturize my skin?My skin gets extremely dry from Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash?
i actually had the same problem with neutrogena but it really cleans out your skin well so i didnt wanna stop using it. Then i started using a Vitamin E based cream from the Body Shop. It's only 16 dollars and my skin feels amazing now. the exact name of the product is Vitamin E Moisture Cream! try it it's amazing!

Good luck! :)My skin gets extremely dry from Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash?
Neutrogena is generally a good brand...so maybe you could try something else from them? I know that Neutrogena has oil-free moisturizers. It's always essential to make sure that whatever moisturizer you use says that...you want something light that isn't going to clog your pores. If you find that Neutrogena just isn't cutting it, go to the store and look at other brands or do some internet research on them! :)
To be honest with you, you should stop using it. I too suffer from acne. You need to take into account your whole beauty routine. My advice to you is to use a mild cleanser and use medication by a doctor. wait a few months and you will notice a difference. Also, use a face lotion for sensitive skin. DONT overdue it with a bunch of remedies or your skin will get worse! Let me know if this helps!!!

Will body wash that contains oil affect my face negatively ?

please answer if you know, I'm kindof afraid to use it. Will body wash that contains oil affect my face negatively ?
Body wash is just that - ment for bodys.

they chemicals are to harsh to use on your face

i would not recomend.... get a face was or cleanser!!!Will body wash that contains oil affect my face negatively ?
Yeah, dont use an oil body wash on your face. Youll break out. an unscented sensitive skin body bar would be fine on your face, but not a regular body wash.

How can I wash the smell of massage oil out of cotton shirts? Regular detergent and Oxy Clean didn't do it.

It's a base oil with scented essential oils added to it. The scent is gone, but the greasy ';restaurant kitchen'; smell of the base oil remains in the shirts. Ugh!How can I wash the smell of massage oil out of cotton shirts? Regular detergent and Oxy Clean didn't do it.
Try vinegar in the wash and rinse cycle if it smells like vinegar to you after and the oil is out wash again

Ex was a service man and clothes smelled like oil vinegar helped but I don't know material may have been different that was a few years agoHow can I wash the smell of massage oil out of cotton shirts? Regular detergent and Oxy Clean didn't do it.
soak it in wisk over night
First cascade or 1/4 cup of dawn added to the wash take care of this. Next try to use massage oil that does not contain grapeseed oil. Wash right away.
I would hang it outside in the sun on a nice day. ALL DAY...

The smell will be gone at the end of the day.

    Good Luck
I would use bleach or bleach for unbleachables
vinegar is a natural degreaser, but if you just throw it in the wash with some vinegar it will come out smelling like a salad. Soak it in a sink full of a little bit (3 tablespoons or so) vinegar and cold water, soak it for 3-4 hours.... wring it out, rinse it, THEN throw it in the wash.... use baking soda with your detergent, the smell will be gone!
Try soak the shirt overnight in salt and a little vinegar. Than soak the shirt in detergent (recommend cold power or surf) and wash as normal after. Make sure you hang out in the sun to dry.
There is also something called disol-vol, you add it with your detergent. It gets out everything!

If I only wash my hair with oil, will it leave my natural hair oil unharm?

Because my hair is getting a bit dry lately and I was wondering to wash my hair with only water. If I only wash my hair with oil, will it leave my natural hair oil unharm?
If you wash your hair every day,it strips it of it's natural oil,it's not good to wash your hair every day,try skipping a couple of days.I would use shampoo's that are formulated with keratin to get more moisture in your hair,I also know that at Sally's beauty supply, they have great deep conditioners as low as 99 cents,I've used them before they also carry a product called Henna n Placenta by Hask, this also very good. You can look the store up on line, just type Sally's beauty supply store and it will show you the products and locations of these stores, hope this helps you out,you can also find some great shampoo's there too,try and find one with keratin, the people will help you out there. If I only wash my hair with oil, will it leave my natural hair oil unharm?
You don't have to wash your hair everyday , you can wash it once a week unless you sweat a lot , work in a resturant , or get dirt in your hair then you need to wash it daily . You a mosturizing shampoo one for damaged hair then follow with a conditioner and follow that with a deep conditioning treatment like hotoil treatment or hair mayonaise etc. If your hair is only dry on the ends then you only need to deep condition or use treatments on the ends . Rinse your conditioner out with cool water . The less heat you use on your hair the better . If you are using heat syling products then you should use a protector before doing so . Also if your ends are the only thing that are really dry you should trim your hair a half an inch . You should trim hair 2 times a year . A trim is less than an inch btw

spilled cooking oil on my trachsuit bottoms, there are cotton/wool i think.. i thought nothin of it and put them in the wash.. but it made no difference wat so ever :( is there some special way of gettin it out? fankooWhy wont cooking oil come out in the wash??
What i do is usally put washing upliquid on the oil stain and rub it in, then leave it for a while, then put the item of clothing into the washing machine, it fades it and will come out after doing this a couple of times. Why wont cooking oil come out in the wash??
Try gently rubbing in some neat detergent and leaving for a while then wash again.
I buy good old fashioned washing soda from Wilkinsons/Tesco/Morrisons. It is 55p for 1kg bag. Put a cup of this in any wash and oil, sweat, blood, grease, skid marks all disappear. ( The skid marks are in a friends washing that I do, his gussets look like the starting grid of Le Mans!).

T-towels come up a treat as well.
Talc or salt immediately to absorb most of it. Soak in hot solution of soda crystals - available from the supermarket and used to unclog greasy drains.
buy a bottle of lystol and put it just on the spots and wash
because it is hard for oil and water to mix - have you tried Dirt Devils ?

Sorry meant ';Stain Devils'; - bit early for me lol

STAIN DEVIL No.3 removes: OIL, GRASS, GREASE, MAKE-UP and many more
Just use some washing up liquid direction onto the oil spill, then wash the garment in the washing machine in the usual way.
the Spanish say that if you spill or splatter oil on your clothes you should sprinkle it immediately with salt, this will absorb the oil, another method is talcum powder

    try them
It's too late after it goes through the dryer.

Oil stains should be blotted (while still wet) to remove most of it and soaked in COLD water.

Then use a detergent to break up the oil and a 2-part stain remover like spray and wash.

Wash in cold water and cold rinse. If it doesn't come out, DON'T just throw it in the dryer! Try again!

How do you wash your hair with olive oil?

So i hear that washing/rinsing your hair with olive oil is really good for it, but i don't know how to do it. how can you do it without getting really greasy gross hair? How do you wash your hair with olive oil?
I do oil treatments on my hair every so often and it never stays greasy if you know what you are doing. But I don't wash my hair with it. I cover my hair with olive oil and let it sit for 15-30minutes. Then I wash it out with dish soap and HOT water. The dish soap and hot water is the trick to getting it out. Dish soap is designed to get grease and oil off dishes and does the same for your hair. Then after you wash with the dish soap use your regular shampoo and conditioner.

The olive oil makes my hair really smooth and soft with out leaving it greasy feeling. How do you wash your hair with olive oil?
its very good for your hair. only put in on your ends. if you put it on the root it gets greasy...

you can put it on your hair and let it soak in for half hour or so and rinse(very good) then shampoo and conditioner.. or what i also is i do it after i blow dry/flat iron my hair..a little dab of the olive oil on my ends and i put powder on my roots to keep my roots from getting greasy, works really good..i only wash my hair 2 times a week. and use extra virgin olive oil its the best. hope this helped!!
    you dont wash it

    but anyway

i use vitamin e in my hair, makes it grow fast, deep conditions it

put in fresh washed hair, but not the scalp, and dry as usual. and along with regular trims you cant go wrong
No offense or anything I wouldn't really wash your hair with olive oil or any type of oil because it will make your hair look and fell sticky just to be on the safe side don't use it.
You have to use it like a conditioner. Only backwards. Condition 1st. Shampoo 2nd. Be sure to use a clarifying shampoo!!
You only put it on the ends and only a tiny bit.
u should just take a little bit on ur hand and then rub it like shampoo on ur hair, then rinse it off gently(it won't make ur hair greasy and stuff..........)
It's oil... It's going to make your hair greasy and gross anyways..
dont ever do it, it stayes in for the longest time ever

    dont even try it

Can an oil-free face wash dry out your skin?

Im using Neutrogena Oil-Free face wash and over the past week Ive noticed my face is very dry and bumpy. Ive never had this problem before and i want to know how to get nice smooth skin again. Can an oil-free face wash dry out your skin?
yes an oil free face wash can dry out your skin. it is probably a chemical agent such as benzyl perozide or salicylic acid that is drying out your skin. these two chemicals do wonders short term but in the long term are likely to dry out your skin and cause it to become bumpy. one thing that really helped my skin was just to use a normal cleanser. anther thing that was really effective for me do get nice smooth skin again was to slather neutrogena moisturizer for sensitive skin all over my face before i went to bed. i absolutely slathered it all over my face. but i guess it depends what kind of acne you have. Can an oil-free face wash dry out your skin?
    Stoppp that stuff is crap.

Use the proactive wash , it makes ur skin reallllly smooth
OMgg!!! Yess! I am using the exact same one and I would advise you to either stop using it or don't use it as often as you do.the wash like soaked all the moisture out of my skin. But after that I started peeling. It was kinda bad. But then when I stopped peeling I had REALLY smooth skin cuz it was kinda like a new layer or skin.

Is using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash enough to get rid of pimples?

or are there more products i should add to help get rid of the acne?Is using Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash enough to get rid of pimples?
Acne care: eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Clean skin with soapy water or an organic cleanser. You should do this twice a day even when you have no zits. The benzoyl peroxide (10%) creams are the most effective but are very hard on the skin. Creams with tea tree oil (like ones by Thursday Plantation and Sanctum from Australia in the region where the tea tree oil comes from) work nearly as well but do not hurt the skin. They may take 2 or 3 applications to work compared to 1 or 2 for the peroxide. They are found in health food shops in the US.

Go to the auto parts store and get the cleaning stuff that mechanics use for their hands. It comes in a can and looks like slime, it will get your hands clean.

You could use paint remover, but it would probably not be too good for your skin. How do I wash the black dye and oil from leather gloves off of my hands after wearing them in the rain?
Try a solvent cleaner like they sell at hardware stores to remove oil paint and varnish from the hands.

You have to be careful with it. Dispose of the rag you use outside because they are combustible and don't get any flame or spark near the liquid (or the rag).

If solvent won't remove it, nothing will.

i would reccomend using oxy pads. they are awesome! they are quick (if your one of those people who doesnt like spending 15 minutes applying 246346 different products to your face. i know i am) and after a few days it clears them up. i used them twice a day, or more depending on your skins oily-ness. and it cleared them up which is something i NEVER thought would happen, seriously, try them they work!!! just like anything else you have to continually use them for results. acne doesnt just disappear and stay gone, after all.Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
Personally I was in and out of dermatologist offices.

and neutrogena is the way to go.

Just make sure you always buy the set!

usually any acne remedies comes in three.

So you can get the moisturizer with it, and it will even out.

    Good luck!
its ur skin but i would reccomend proactiv! its a lifesaver
    YES IT DOSE WORKS.....

Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?

Ok, so I tried my acne wash with an anti-acne moisturizer. It worked for a while, but the moisturizer didn't really help, and my skin started flaking anyway. So can I just use an oil free moisturizer with my acne wash? Will this make my face not peel? Can I use an oil free moisturizer with acne wash?
You can use an oil free moisturizer with an acne wash. I like Neutragena Oil Free Moisturizer. If this doesn't help, the acne wash probably has too high a level of benzoyl peroxide for your skin. Try finding a cleanser that is made for sensitive skill with a lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide.

  • Can i use neutrogena oil free acne wash even if my face isn't oily?

i would like to know if i could use it or if it will maybe dry up my skin? please help thanks. Can i use neutrogena oil free acne wash even if my face isn't oily?
In general, may type of ';soap'; will dry up your skin by removing the oils. Thus, you get that squeaky clean feel after a wash.

In your case, neutrogene acne wash is not an exception -- it will draw oils from your face but your face naturally restore the oil content in an hour or so. Everybody skin is oily but it just depends on how oily it can naturally get. In other words, your face won't get any oilier than it currently is.

Sometimes washing away the oil on your face is a good thing when there's potential of bacterial contamination (especially after you've been the gym and touch many surfaces with your hands) so you would want to wash your face and let your body renew the oils on your face.

you just incurred an allergic reaction. stop using the product, and wash your face with cold water to soothe the redness, and itchiness, if any. After applying body shop tea tree oil facial wash, my face started burning and itching badly. wat to do? help?
Your skin is obviously very sensitive, like mine. It is quite common for a small number of people to be allergic to tea tree oil. Just wash your face with warm water and rub jojoba oil on it.
i would make sure u have washes it off try putting a cold flannel on ur face for a bit n i if it continues go to hosapital
Stop using that soap and take medical help 1st..
You've just had a major allergic reaction. Benydryl is good for calming that down.

The Tea Tree Oil line from TBS is designed for oily skin, not sensitive. Ask if they have a line designed for sensitivity (no color, no fragrance). Also , there are cosmetics companies out there that have skin care systems designed for sensitivities like yours.

You'll have to narrow down what you're allergic to as well. Your physician should be able to help you with that.

Change your laundry detergent - I use All Free %26amp; Clear.

Make sure your body lotion and body wash are very, very gentle. You have to take care of that delicate skin.

Is it a good idea to add a oil change and hand car wash to my future smog test shop?

I am planning to buy a smog shop and was wondering if it were a good idea to hire a oil change technician and another person for a hand car wash. I am planning to run this owner absentee but I will still check in every week and watch everything via technology. any ideas or suggestions? Is it a good idea to add a oil change and hand car wash to my future smog test shop?
I think the oil change tech is a good idea. People who don't pass the test could probably be easily talked into an oil change. Car washing I'm not so sure about. A lot of car owners don't really take good care of their cars - they need to pass emissions, so the oil change is necessary, but hand washing an old pick up truck, for example, is just not going to sell.

It's best to exfoliate everyday anyways. but none of the treatments that you can buy for acne from shops actually work. You need to go to your doctor and find a combination of pills/ creams that will work for you.

If you have already done this, for good skin, you need to drink lots of water, clense tone and moisturise everyday! Its a chore, but it really helps!

Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?

i have blackheads whiteheads and pimples..

would this item help get rid of those?Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?
It definitely makes your face less oily. I bought a bottle a while ago and it's like 3/4 gone now. I haven't really noticed a difference from my old face wash (which I can't find now). I think any face wash that has salicylic acid in it will give the same results. It has for me, anyway. I don't have bad acne, just a few pimples and usually I have blackheads. It hasn't gotten rid of them, but it didn't make my skin worse (and I have used washes that made it worse).

What I like about it though is that it gets rid of the oil and makes my face feel really clean.Does neutrogena oil free acne wash work?

I know you have specified 'inexpensive' but there is a completely natural face wash/cleanser that can be purchased from qvc the shopping channel, it is all plant based and removes all makeup and eye makeup very easily indeed, you just need one pump action and it is sold in a 500 ml pump container. There will be a p %26amp; p to pay but it is well worth the price of approx 拢20 all in. The company nameis SBC and qvc is the only shopping channel where you can buy it as it is a beauty salon only product. They do other natural products also and SBC is the only products I buy for my face and body as they are completely plant based. Just go onto qvc website and type in SBC and it will list everything they have in stock. The facial cleanser lasts me forever and as it is in an airtight container, it never gets contiminated like tubes and bottles do with open tops.

yea i usually wash my face in the shower since its easier and if you take warm showers the steam will open ur pores so the face wash can really clean and work

also you use the acne wash before you use the cleanser so the cleanser can cleanse ur face rather than washing the cleanser off with the face wash

cuz then there really isnt a point to itCan you use neutrogena oil free pink grapefruit acne wash in the shower?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
I use it in the shower too , but usually I use it after while I'm washing my face in the sink with really hot water . It doesn't irritate my skin though. Maybe you have like an allergy to it. If it gets worse you should contact your dermatologist. Hope I helped [:

  • Using salt and mineral oil as a face wash?

    olive oil and salt?

sounds btter on a salad if you ask me!

omg worst joke ever award goes to me :|

nah, in all seriousness, i wouldnt reccommend it. Talk to a dermotoligist or something first before you start putting mad home made potions on your face. you really should be careful when it comes to putting stuff on your face! xUsing salt and mineral oil as a face wash?
I haven't used mineral oil or olive oil, but I wouldn't recommend using salt. It's very drying and irritating to the skin. It's also too abrasive to use on delicate facial skin. I use sugar instead. Every so often I'll add a little to my face wash to exfoliate with. It dissolves a little, so it's not as harsh, but still gets the job done. As for the olive oil, I use it on my hair and it works fairy well, but I don't think it'd be safe to use on your skin (except for a moisturizing spot treatment).
Mineral oil over time may clog your pores and lead to zits. Since I've used the Neutrogena Rejuvenator every other day, I no longer have zits, have smooth younger looking skin, and am off antibiotics.

Soak them in pure liquid detergent. Work the detergent in every few hours. After 24 hours put in the washing machine.

Some kinds of stains can only be cleaned with gasoline. Use a very small amount. Do it outdoors and use heavy non flamable gloves. Have a friend with a fire extinguisher there. How can I wash away oil stain from colored clothes?
All of the above suggestions are good.

I sometimes just launder an item over and over (5-7 times) and let it air dry between washings as the heat of the dryer will often 'set' the stain.

Sometimes a cooking oil stain comes out this way.
My fiance's best man is a mechanic... he swears by the WD-40/ Dawn method...

Spray a small amount of WD-40 on the spot.

Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes

Then squirt some Dawn on the spot and work it in

Rinse off and wash as normal.

Hope it works as well for you as it does for him!!!
Hi..i would try hand cleaner like the mechanics use. It is cheap and can be bought at Walmart or Canadian tire. Rub it on, let sit for a half hour, then wash as usual. I use it for all kinds of stains.
Just put talcum powder over the oily area in your cloth. Wait for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then take off the powder. Wash with normal water. This will really work out.

What to use after I wash my oil painting brushes? to keep them in good condition?

    Baby oil.

Really. What to use after I wash my oil painting brushes? to keep them in good condition?
Wash them in white spirit(turps sub) dry them off, if you are leaving them for some time wash them in warm washing up liquid and stand them to dry.I stand mine upright, some hang them bristles down. This has not harmed my brushes in over 50 years and was standard practise in both school and several colleges.Save the white spirit in a closed container, the muck will settle out and can be decanted off for re-use.What to use after I wash my oil painting brushes? to keep them in good condition?
There is no need to do anything. Really clean brushes are ready to be used again. Don't be tempted to do anything to them except store them horizontally and protected from dust.
Getting them clean is the most important thing. Storing them upright like everyone is saying (otherwise the brush can deform and stay that way)

I have used normal hair conditioner to finish up washing.
The best you can use is a cleaner and preservative.

I use the one from old masters.
Mineral spirits (can also be called Paint Thinner by many brands)

Can you use spray and wash to get oil off of cloths?

I got oil from cooking on my shirt (cotton shirt) and I wanna know if I can use Spray%26amp;Wash to get the oil off.Can you use spray and wash to get oil off of cloths?
I once did an experiment to see what common product dissolved oil the best.

I took 4 cubes of solid butter. I dropped each cube into a small glass of water.

I added vinegar to one, baking soda to another, salt to a third, and dish washing liquid to the fourth.

The winner? Dish washing liquid. That cube was completely dissolve within a half an hour. The other products didn't touch their cubes.

So...rub dish washing liquid generously into the oily areas. (Any brand works.) Allow to sit for a half an hour. Then launder as usual. Can you use spray and wash to get oil off of cloths?
The Spray %26amp; Wash should work just fine. Spray the spots and let the product work on there for at least an hour before washing. Use warm water to help dissolve the oil. Cold water can't get grease or oil stains out because it doesn't liquefy the stain so it can be removed.

If the Spray %26amp; Wash doesn't get it all the first time, give it a second treatment and that should do it. Other options are Dawn dish washing liquid, Simple Green (great for motor oil and axle grease).
You can but if it doesn't do the job get some Lestoil. You can also try any degreaser you have around the house, the kinds mechanics wash their hands with like GoJo or Simple Green.

    http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>
a good sudsy wash that has ammonia and baking soda added, those 2 are very good for breaking up grease and oil stains, also try glycerine and eucalyptus
I would us dawn dish soap on it and when you wash it add some oxi-clean to the water. It should come out with out any problem
sure can and dial soap also works.
If it doesn't work , rewash with a color safe bleach or oxiclean
WD-40 then regular dish soap, breaks down all kinds of greasy messes

How to wash your oil painting brushes?

I use a little turpentine to get the worse off then use ';The masters'; brush cleaner. It's a soap and preserver. It says you can just wipe your brush off without turp. and then use the soap. It is very good and sold at any art store and some good craft stores. How to wash your oil painting brushes?
Go to a hardware store and buy odorless mineral spirits. It is less toxic than turpentine and doesn't smell nearly as bad. And it is cheaper, too. After you clean the paint out of your brushes in OMS, wash the OMS out of our brushes with soap. This last step is vital. The OMS that will be in your brushes does contain paint (afterall, you just cleaned your paint into it.) This paint will build up over time and ruin your brushes. That is why you need to clean the OMS out of your brushes, too.

Then, dry the bristles and reshape your brushes between your fingers with a little soap. Let them dry standing up.

This is the best way to take care of your brushes. How to wash your oil painting brushes?
The best cleaner I have ever used...I bought it at Michael's. It is cheap, comes in a clear bottle. There is blue writing on it in French and English. There's also a giant skull and crossbones on it declaring that it is poisonous.

The size and price of it is really good and it works. You just need a little bit of it and scrub your paintbrushes with a toothbrush, the tooth brush going away from the handle.

    Hope that helped.

Windsor and Newton's paint cleaner also works, isn't toxic and costs a bit more :/
with water thoroughly... with hot water actually.. oil paint never comes off so let the brushes soak up the water
Natural bristle brushes (hog, squirrel, sable) are like your own hair. Initially clean with something oily - like turp, mineral spirits, then wash with a shampoo that would be kind to your own hair. Synthetic brushes benefit from a good art commercial soap as mentioned by other respondents. Always reshape and press dry your brushes with a dry towel. Make sure they are cleaned ';deep'; near the ferrule as paint build up will push the individual hairs apart and make your brushes get ';bushy';. I am a professional portrait artist and like it or not I find that I need to replace my best filberts for the finish work about once every two or three portraits for a good clean line. I use the very cheapest hog bristle brushes I can find for the massing in of the first layers of paint.
First use turpentine (it's oily, so it won't totally dry your brushes out like paint thinner). Then use The Master's Brush Cleaner - specially formulated to clean off oil/acrylic/watercolor paints. You can buy it at Michael's or JoAnn's, or any art supply store. It's great, and one can lasts a long time. It's great for cleaning up my hands too!
Annmarie wants you to ruin your brushes! Oil paint would just gum up with water. You need to use turpentine to get oil paint off, or mineral spirits will work.
Anne Marie what are you thinking????????

Anyone had problems with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash?

I bought it yesterday and have used it 3 times(twice yesterday and once today). The directions say to wash twice daily. It also says it is non-irritating and anti-allergenic. My face is bright red and my skin is sensitive to the touch. I have not gone out in the sun. Anyone else had bad reactions?Anyone had problems with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash?
